My Dearest Love,

It only makes sense to refer to you as “Love” in these letters, and maybe even in our waking day.  Firstly, because you shared with me once that it is how you see yourself in your mind’s eye.  Secondly, because of the romance that you’ve brought into my life.  You have not only challenged, but changed my thoughts and experiences of platonic romance; of friendship.  To love a friend the way I have come to love you has been the truest blessing, and something that has changed my life forever.

So Love, I hope this marks the first of many letters we share with one another.  This specific letter was taken from the sea and swirls of thoughts in my journal; maybe yours will be too.  I’m already dreaming of the pleasures we’ll have when we get to exchange our letters once again, when we’re wrinkly, and reminiscing on the memories I’ve no doubt we’ll make together.  Already, we have woven ourselves together, and with our plans for the future, it’s bound to be beautiful.

I consider myself deeply lucky to have met you.  I’ve always called you my love and light, but I wish you could’ve seen the aura glowing around you when we first met.  I felt allured to you; drawn to you like a moth to a flame.  Your passion, exuberance, and caprice have always inspired me.  I’ve never seen someone balance such fire the way you do.  You embody everything it means to be human, and in doing that you become so much more.  Almost like an Angel walking among us.

For you, I hope the happiest of birthdays, and the best of wishes.

You are a light, A Love
